Rachelle's Life: The Adventure of a Lifetime

*Random Thought of the Day: QUELF: THE BOARD GAMEQuelf is the unpredictable party game that gives random a new name! Whether you're answering hilarious trivia, perfoming ridiculous stunts, or obeying silly rules, Quelf will inspire you to use your creativity, wit and sense of humor in ways you've never imagined. As you move around the board game, as one of eight quirky characters, crazy things start to happen. Your mom's face is wrapped in toilet paper, your dad is acting like dracula, and you are dancing around as a ballerina in a tutu unti the timer runs out.If you've ever played the game "Curses", this game is very similar and way awesome! Last wednesday night, we threw a surprise birthday party for my friend Crystal and ended up playing quelf! Good times! The End. *I've had a busy couple of weeks. Lots of fun involved though. Let's start with last weekend, when I got to go home to Show Low! Woot woot! My girl Kelsey had her wedding reception so I went to that and she looked gorgeous! And I got to see some old friends as well.
Me, Heather, Kels, Jeanie
It was awesome! While at home, I of course spent quality time with my family. It was really nice and relaxing. We hit up a basketball game of Dallas'. He is good-I'm proud of that boy!I also spent the afternoon on Saturday attempting, for my second time-homemade bread! And it turned out beautiful! Andrea helped a little too(: YUM! I officially decided that my husband will love me because I know how to make homemade bread.I attended church Sunday and then headed back to Thatcher. A very nice weekend.

The week went by fast and slow at the same time-depending on what day it was(: I honestly don't pay attention to many details about the week most of the time. It's just a breeze by really. This weekend has been fantastic though! I had like 2 dates. Friday night, I made Spaghetti for my friend Jordan Carter Mayberry. Yes. I use his full name because everyone does and it's a name that will probably go down in history. For what? I have no idea. It's just a good strong name. Anyway. I made him dinner and we sat outside on the roof of the laundry room. Yes. It is "illegal". Oh well. We had fun just eating and talking. After that, I went to the EA basketball game-which we won-barely-by one point. On Saturday morning, I joined Jason for an adventure/hike! Leave it to Jason to go on quite the random adventures(: We found a place that I'm not to say the name of. I actually don't even know if it has a name. But the land is "owned/claimed" by Jason now. We explored for a couple of hours and found some cool stuff. See pictures below!

Saturday afternoon and evening is when even more fun happened! The picture below is none an advertisement poster of none other than the BYU Young Ambassadors! Yep. They came to Thatcher this weekend as part of an Arizona tour they are on! They started yesterday by doing an amazing workshop with EAC Company and any institute student that wanted to go. They did some performing for us and then we broke into groups to do three 20 minute workhops on dancing, acting, and singing. It was AWESOME! And SOOOO much fun! The members of the young ambassadors are so so nice. I still remember watching them perform in Provo last year, while I was on tour with choir. The workshop was helpful and I got to chat with and meet several of the members. I even got to be a volunteer to help role play in the acting workshop. Loved it!

After the workshop, I went on a triple date with a guy named Cory, along with Emily and Derek and our friends Kaleb and Audra! We made homemade pizza and then went to the Young Ambassadors concert at the auditorium. It was AMAZZZZZING!!!! They are so so talented! Their show as actually the same one as last year when I saw them, but still very very good! It was a great evening! So, among the busy weekend, I got no studying done and mainly relaxed, which is what I really needed! Spring break/music tour is coming up in a couple weeks so I'm very excited. Well-kinda-no plans for break yet. I hope you all are doing well! Have a super amazing week!

I'm not gonna write you a LOVE SONG

*Random ThoughtSSSS of the Day: Allow me to quote some quotes about the way I feel right now. [Read with caution.]
1. "It's not like me to make stupid mistakes like that, but if you weren't human you wouldn't make mistakes. I was frustrated about it. You don't want the same thing to happen two times in a row."
2. "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
3. "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
4. "It's always helpful to learn from your mistakes because then your mistakes seem worthwhile."-Garry Marshall
5. "Women are like cell phones. They like to be held and talked to, but push the wrong button, and you'll be disconnected."
6. "A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way. " -Mark Twain
I refuse to explain myself with these quotes. The End.*

This week has really been pretty chill! It's great! Probably because I turned in a big arranging assignment on Monday to Music theory and so this week I've jus
t been relaxing since I spent several hours last week arranging the piece. I did an arrangement of the hymn "In Humility Our Savior." It probably needs a little more work after getting feedback from Dr. Bishop and my classmates on Friday. But hopefully I still got a decent grade on it!
On Monday, I also took a quick trip down to Mesa with Felicia and Jason to interview for EFY Counsling this summer. Interview went decent-I wont know for several wee
ks if Im hired for any weeks this summer. As the story of my life is going right now-it is all up in the air!

I ended this week with lo and behold-Single"s Awareness Day! Friday night was a "semi formal" dance. In the beggining, I was NOT excited about the semi form
al thing. But Emily saved me by letting me borrow one of her dresses and I got excited while getting all ready with my roommates! And-we had A BLAST! I hung out with my usual girls and danced literally-all night! Im so signing in to wellness for last night! Woohoo! I was burnin a fire on the dance floor! Haha....yes, I just said that.

On Saturday, which is the day I started this blog, I didn't do a whole too much. My plans of the evening though consisted of a movie with some girlfriends. We saw "Valentine's Day". LOL-Good and absolutely hilarious movie! Loved it tons! And every big star is in it pretty much. I think there was one I didn't recognize. Everyone from Julia Roberts to Jennifer Garner to Jessica Biel to Bradley Cooper to Topher Grace to Anne Hathaway....and even Taylor Swift and Taylor Laughtner were in it playing this ridiculous high school couple. wierdos. Anyway-it was directed by Garry Marshall who is terrific! For those of you who don't know-he directed Runaway Bride, and both Princess Diary movies, so naturally he has some of his favorites in this movie!Anywhos....after a movie, we had a little dance party with my "Singles Awareness Day" mix on my ipod. It was a great girls night out! Something I definantly needed.

Ok. I seriously have nothing more to blog about. Bleh.

Happy V Day.

What If...I were a child again

*Random thought of the day: Here are some "What-If's" for you.[explained why later]
~What If...The world ran out of peanut butter?
A: Then Ice Cream Wouldn't Be as good
~What if... the llama never danced?
A:Then life would make sense again
~What if...men walked sideways down the streets?
A: Women would know what is wrong with them
OR A2: The Cardinals would win the super bowl on Sunday
~What if...everytime I sneezed, people got engaged?
A: It would be interesting because then chickens would start to talk
WHAT IF.....
The End.*
Why in the WORLD would I come up with some random what if's and their answers? Well-I didn't come up with all of them. This was a fun little game I played on a date last night-along with some other fun shinnangins! There were 16 of us on this big group date. The boys made us breakfast for dinner-yum! And then we went outside and played "Kick the Ball"-subsituted for "Kick the Can". Only one round-then we decided "Sardines" would be fun. Ok so, we didn't look like these puppies neccisarily-maybe when we were all hidden behind the log pile...but it was fun!

After some fun outside, we went inside and this is where the "What If" game came in. Basically-everyone writes a "what if" down on a piece of paper and throws it in the middle of everyone. Then you grab a random one and write down your answer to whatever question you get-then put it in the middle again. Then, as each person gets another new one, you go around the circle and read your question one at a time and the next person gives you the answer on their paper. Confusing? Well-its very hilarious-as you saw in my random thought. It really makes you wonder...What IF?

Now about last weekend....I sang Kareoke and thats all there is to it! Ok, so I also watched one of my new favorite movies-Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Ok-please let your kids watch this! It's soooo funny! Maybe I was watching it with the right people....at the institute last Friday night, they had a PB&J party-Pillows Blankets and Jammies. And they also served peanut butter and jelly and popcorn and soda(: It was fantastic! Me and my friend Emily-my non-best friend Emily-sat together and then went to her house for games afterwards with a million people! As for the Kareoke....after the lame basketball game on Saturday-which isn't worth my time going anymore since EA keeps losing-there was a kareoke night at the activities center. I decided that I'd only done it once so me, Ashley and Crystal sang! We sang "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks! Haha why you may ask? Becuase I had a dream the night before that I tried out for American Idol and I sang that song. Oh-and my voice teacher and my choir director were the judges. Wierd. Anyway. So we sang and just had a grand time haha! We rock! Some of the other "performers" were entertaining as well I must say!So, besides my amazing party life(: School is quite crazy. All this week I have been composing an arrangement of "In Humility Our Savior" for my theory class. It's a big deal and a lot of hours have been put into it, due to the fact that its a "test" and a big part of my grade. But I like what I have been able to accomplish with it. If anyone wants to see a copy-let me know! I'll be completely finished with it by today. And there are more compositions to come as the semester goes on! Ah the joy of being a music major.

Basically-all my classes are going mostly well. I'm loving voice lessons this semester and choir as well. It's hard to believe sometimes that this is the end of my EAC days. Good things are happening this semester though. I'm just loving life a lot more and just having a really good time! I hope you all have a wonderful week to come! Don't do anything I wouldn't help you with!

LOL-Lots of Love! PS-It rained this week. Lots. I went through two pairs of jeans and shoes on the first day.
