Rumors, Great Friends, and It's all going to my Head

*Random Thought of the Day: Gosh I love nyquil....not. So, nyquil, along with clariten, advil, echinacia, and advil, cure a sinus cold. Luckily. Otherwise I'd probably feel worse still and end up with a 3 week sinus infection just like last year about this time. WARNING: Keep yourselves healthy and hand sanitized and if you have kids-drug them with their daily vitamins. Being sick is no fun! The End.*

Oh my gosh oh my gosh you guys! Sorry-that was a little blonde... Wow. I tell you what wow! I've had one amazing, wierd, cool, fun, awkward, hilarious week! and a half! Allow me to begin with my 6th, and final, music tour with EAC!
We toured up in the white mountains this year. Yep-my hometown of Show Low was included. We went there, Joseph City, St. Johns, Heber, Holbrook, and last, yet definantly least, Snowflake. Haha-sorry-just kidding to all you snowflake fans! So we toured in the cold and had somewhat of an enjoyable time! I always enjoy tour for the sake of entertaining myself with the flirting of the boys and hanging out with my girls and of course the inspirational performances! A picture is however, worth a thousand words...
Audra, Destiny, me and Karen-our version of the emotional girl in a black in white movie we watched(:

Me and my Fruitsnack pals-Taylor and Jeff. We share fruitsnacks and laughter in choir.
A Capella Choir

Me, Devon and Mike-we're just awesome!

Choir tour this year was pretty fun. Not as fun as past ones, but I'm really about to the point of being "over" acapella choir. As great as its been, its very near time to say goodbye.

After tour, Spring Break started! Woohoo! I went to Show Low and hung out with my family for the weekend. Then on Sunday evening, I drove my mom's truck to Mesa. When I arrived, I went and saw my brother Brandon and his wife Jenn. Hadn't seen them or talked to them in forever so that was a nice visit. Then I went and saw the Hofelings-my former seminary teacher and his family-they are just terrific!
Then, I headed over to Kendra's where I would be staying the next couple of nights! I met up with her and we were up til 330 Am. Needless to say, the boys that we were hanging out with were cute hee hee. Yeah well, it was my spring break and the boys were cute ok?!!
The next day, I got to see my beautiful niece and nephews for the first time in forever! Their dad met me at a nearby park with the kids and I played with them for a while. Didn't get pics of all of them but here's a couple! I miss my favorite kids!
After some time in the sun, I met up with Kendra again and we went to the Chandler Mall and met up with my dear Cassidi! Naturally we found something cute to wear and took pictures! Only with Cassidi! After some fun at the mall, Kendra and I went back to Mesa and got cute so we could go out with the same boys as the night before(: We hung out with them again until about 2 am or so. Yeah haha.
Tues morning, I got up and drove to Phoenix where my sis Steph is staying. So I visited with her for a while and then decided i'd better head back to Show Low. After getting lost and almost heading to California, I finally got back to Mesa and then on to Show Low. Gotta love getting lost in the valley!
Wednesday and Thursday I just hung out in Show Low, and developed my sinus cold too. Bleh! I did however get to go to the temple on Wednesday night with a few friends. It was a really quick session but peaceful, which is what I needed.
Yesterday, Friday, me and the fam drove down here to Tuscon! Today we got up early and drove an hour and a half to Kartchner Caverns. Pretty sweet. We also hit up the "famous" Tombstone. Pretty cool too. We walked around and looked at alot of little shops and ate a great lunch while watching a fun gun show!
This picture here-what a woman! This is is what I want to do sometimes to boys(:
Duane has family history in tombstone and likes all the western type stuff. But the rest of us enjoyed it too! Good busy day.
Tomorrow I head back to Thatcher. I am so very NOT ready to start school again. (I think I just said a double negative...or maybe a postitive negative?) haha. Anyway-I am excited to see my friends again though. You miss people you get attached to after not seeing them for a week. Especially my friends that I got closer to on choir tour. I'm pretty sure my friends is something I'll miss the most when I leave EA. I'll probably cry:/
Well-Hope you all enjoyed all the pics and excitements in my recent life! Have a great week everyone!

*Random Thought of the Day: My "Man Blanket" has been invaded by a man! I know right?! This man below, or lets just call him a boy,

ruined my blanket! My favorite blanket! Ah! Ok, as seen in the yes-I-know-the-picture-is-blurry, there are stickers all over it from a so-called "Grassy field"! Because I let Kyle lay on my blanket, my dear blanket broke out in stickers! Poor thing! How could I have let this happened? No idea. It was Kyle's idea to go stargazing. (Yes, we did go actual stargazing so don't get any ideas or thoughts in your head-I'm not dating this boy-EVER-especially since he almost ruined my favorite blanket). Anyway, after combing, yes combing, and lintrolling and picking, we got most of the stickers out. And then I washed it, which didn't really work, but it is better than it was. It was a travesty, sham AND a mockery. Sorry Felshaw-I stole your line(: Hmmm. Well whatever-I guess I can forgive Kyle someday for this....The End.*
Well what else is going on? Oh, here's another random thought. Only in Thatcher....
would you see this randomly going down the street of your neighborhood....(:
Well life is going good. Everything is going by so fast, but slow at the same time. This past week, nothing exciting happened really. I am looking forward more to this week because my spring break starts early on wednesday, due to my choir tour! Woot we are going to the white mountains! So, I'll just stay up there on Friday and hang out for most of my spring break. More details later.
Ok-this blog is somewhat pointless because i have nothing to say, but I did want to put my random thoughts up and let you all know that I'm still alive.
Have a grand week!

Rachelle's Life: The Adventure of a Lifetime

*Random Thought of the Day: QUELF: THE BOARD GAMEQuelf is the unpredictable party game that gives random a new name! Whether you're answering hilarious trivia, perfoming ridiculous stunts, or obeying silly rules, Quelf will inspire you to use your creativity, wit and sense of humor in ways you've never imagined. As you move around the board game, as one of eight quirky characters, crazy things start to happen. Your mom's face is wrapped in toilet paper, your dad is acting like dracula, and you are dancing around as a ballerina in a tutu unti the timer runs out.If you've ever played the game "Curses", this game is very similar and way awesome! Last wednesday night, we threw a surprise birthday party for my friend Crystal and ended up playing quelf! Good times! The End. *I've had a busy couple of weeks. Lots of fun involved though. Let's start with last weekend, when I got to go home to Show Low! Woot woot! My girl Kelsey had her wedding reception so I went to that and she looked gorgeous! And I got to see some old friends as well.
Me, Heather, Kels, Jeanie
It was awesome! While at home, I of course spent quality time with my family. It was really nice and relaxing. We hit up a basketball game of Dallas'. He is good-I'm proud of that boy!I also spent the afternoon on Saturday attempting, for my second time-homemade bread! And it turned out beautiful! Andrea helped a little too(: YUM! I officially decided that my husband will love me because I know how to make homemade bread.I attended church Sunday and then headed back to Thatcher. A very nice weekend.

The week went by fast and slow at the same time-depending on what day it was(: I honestly don't pay attention to many details about the week most of the time. It's just a breeze by really. This weekend has been fantastic though! I had like 2 dates. Friday night, I made Spaghetti for my friend Jordan Carter Mayberry. Yes. I use his full name because everyone does and it's a name that will probably go down in history. For what? I have no idea. It's just a good strong name. Anyway. I made him dinner and we sat outside on the roof of the laundry room. Yes. It is "illegal". Oh well. We had fun just eating and talking. After that, I went to the EA basketball game-which we won-barely-by one point. On Saturday morning, I joined Jason for an adventure/hike! Leave it to Jason to go on quite the random adventures(: We found a place that I'm not to say the name of. I actually don't even know if it has a name. But the land is "owned/claimed" by Jason now. We explored for a couple of hours and found some cool stuff. See pictures below!

Saturday afternoon and evening is when even more fun happened! The picture below is none an advertisement poster of none other than the BYU Young Ambassadors! Yep. They came to Thatcher this weekend as part of an Arizona tour they are on! They started yesterday by doing an amazing workshop with EAC Company and any institute student that wanted to go. They did some performing for us and then we broke into groups to do three 20 minute workhops on dancing, acting, and singing. It was AWESOME! And SOOOO much fun! The members of the young ambassadors are so so nice. I still remember watching them perform in Provo last year, while I was on tour with choir. The workshop was helpful and I got to chat with and meet several of the members. I even got to be a volunteer to help role play in the acting workshop. Loved it!

After the workshop, I went on a triple date with a guy named Cory, along with Emily and Derek and our friends Kaleb and Audra! We made homemade pizza and then went to the Young Ambassadors concert at the auditorium. It was AMAZZZZZING!!!! They are so so talented! Their show as actually the same one as last year when I saw them, but still very very good! It was a great evening! So, among the busy weekend, I got no studying done and mainly relaxed, which is what I really needed! Spring break/music tour is coming up in a couple weeks so I'm very excited. Well-kinda-no plans for break yet. I hope you all are doing well! Have a super amazing week!

I'm not gonna write you a LOVE SONG

*Random ThoughtSSSS of the Day: Allow me to quote some quotes about the way I feel right now. [Read with caution.]
1. "It's not like me to make stupid mistakes like that, but if you weren't human you wouldn't make mistakes. I was frustrated about it. You don't want the same thing to happen two times in a row."
2. "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
3. "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
4. "It's always helpful to learn from your mistakes because then your mistakes seem worthwhile."-Garry Marshall
5. "Women are like cell phones. They like to be held and talked to, but push the wrong button, and you'll be disconnected."
6. "A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way. " -Mark Twain
I refuse to explain myself with these quotes. The End.*

This week has really been pretty chill! It's great! Probably because I turned in a big arranging assignment on Monday to Music theory and so this week I've jus
t been relaxing since I spent several hours last week arranging the piece. I did an arrangement of the hymn "In Humility Our Savior." It probably needs a little more work after getting feedback from Dr. Bishop and my classmates on Friday. But hopefully I still got a decent grade on it!
On Monday, I also took a quick trip down to Mesa with Felicia and Jason to interview for EFY Counsling this summer. Interview went decent-I wont know for several wee
ks if Im hired for any weeks this summer. As the story of my life is going right now-it is all up in the air!

I ended this week with lo and behold-Single"s Awareness Day! Friday night was a "semi formal" dance. In the beggining, I was NOT excited about the semi form
al thing. But Emily saved me by letting me borrow one of her dresses and I got excited while getting all ready with my roommates! And-we had A BLAST! I hung out with my usual girls and danced literally-all night! Im so signing in to wellness for last night! Woohoo! I was burnin a fire on the dance floor! Haha....yes, I just said that.

On Saturday, which is the day I started this blog, I didn't do a whole too much. My plans of the evening though consisted of a movie with some girlfriends. We saw "Valentine's Day". LOL-Good and absolutely hilarious movie! Loved it tons! And every big star is in it pretty much. I think there was one I didn't recognize. Everyone from Julia Roberts to Jennifer Garner to Jessica Biel to Bradley Cooper to Topher Grace to Anne Hathaway....and even Taylor Swift and Taylor Laughtner were in it playing this ridiculous high school couple. wierdos. Anyway-it was directed by Garry Marshall who is terrific! For those of you who don't know-he directed Runaway Bride, and both Princess Diary movies, so naturally he has some of his favorites in this movie!Anywhos....after a movie, we had a little dance party with my "Singles Awareness Day" mix on my ipod. It was a great girls night out! Something I definantly needed.

Ok. I seriously have nothing more to blog about. Bleh.

Happy V Day.

What If...I were a child again

*Random thought of the day: Here are some "What-If's" for you.[explained why later]
~What If...The world ran out of peanut butter?
A: Then Ice Cream Wouldn't Be as good
~What if... the llama never danced?
A:Then life would make sense again
~What if...men walked sideways down the streets?
A: Women would know what is wrong with them
OR A2: The Cardinals would win the super bowl on Sunday
~What if...everytime I sneezed, people got engaged?
A: It would be interesting because then chickens would start to talk
WHAT IF.....
The End.*
Why in the WORLD would I come up with some random what if's and their answers? Well-I didn't come up with all of them. This was a fun little game I played on a date last night-along with some other fun shinnangins! There were 16 of us on this big group date. The boys made us breakfast for dinner-yum! And then we went outside and played "Kick the Ball"-subsituted for "Kick the Can". Only one round-then we decided "Sardines" would be fun. Ok so, we didn't look like these puppies neccisarily-maybe when we were all hidden behind the log pile...but it was fun!

After some fun outside, we went inside and this is where the "What If" game came in. Basically-everyone writes a "what if" down on a piece of paper and throws it in the middle of everyone. Then you grab a random one and write down your answer to whatever question you get-then put it in the middle again. Then, as each person gets another new one, you go around the circle and read your question one at a time and the next person gives you the answer on their paper. Confusing? Well-its very hilarious-as you saw in my random thought. It really makes you wonder...What IF?

Now about last weekend....I sang Kareoke and thats all there is to it! Ok, so I also watched one of my new favorite movies-Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Ok-please let your kids watch this! It's soooo funny! Maybe I was watching it with the right people....at the institute last Friday night, they had a PB&J party-Pillows Blankets and Jammies. And they also served peanut butter and jelly and popcorn and soda(: It was fantastic! Me and my friend Emily-my non-best friend Emily-sat together and then went to her house for games afterwards with a million people! As for the Kareoke....after the lame basketball game on Saturday-which isn't worth my time going anymore since EA keeps losing-there was a kareoke night at the activities center. I decided that I'd only done it once so me, Ashley and Crystal sang! We sang "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks! Haha why you may ask? Becuase I had a dream the night before that I tried out for American Idol and I sang that song. Oh-and my voice teacher and my choir director were the judges. Wierd. Anyway. So we sang and just had a grand time haha! We rock! Some of the other "performers" were entertaining as well I must say!So, besides my amazing party life(: School is quite crazy. All this week I have been composing an arrangement of "In Humility Our Savior" for my theory class. It's a big deal and a lot of hours have been put into it, due to the fact that its a "test" and a big part of my grade. But I like what I have been able to accomplish with it. If anyone wants to see a copy-let me know! I'll be completely finished with it by today. And there are more compositions to come as the semester goes on! Ah the joy of being a music major.

Basically-all my classes are going mostly well. I'm loving voice lessons this semester and choir as well. It's hard to believe sometimes that this is the end of my EAC days. Good things are happening this semester though. I'm just loving life a lot more and just having a really good time! I hope you all have a wonderful week to come! Don't do anything I wouldn't help you with!

LOL-Lots of Love! PS-It rained this week. Lots. I went through two pairs of jeans and shoes on the first day.

Thoughts of the future

*Random Thought of the Day: I gotta say. If there were just one thing on my list of what i'll miss when I leave the Gila Valley, it is sights like this. It's worth getting up early in the morning just to see Mount Grahm! It's GORGEOUS with snow on it! Makes me happy! The End.*
Well, its been a nutso crazy couple of weeks! 500 hours of practicing! Ok....not that much-but enough to get BOTH my auditions DONE! Woohoo! Wish me luck and I appreciate your prayers! I really want to get into the music program at BYU Idaho. My plan however, if I don't get in, is to go up there anyway and try again, while continuing on with school-but things are still a little up in the air for now. Sadly, I did not recieve a part in the spring musical, but I got over it very quickly. I'm a little dissapointed, but I figure-everything happens for a reason. Or in this case, probably several reasons. My audition went well though and I did my best. And it's not like I can be mad at the director...since she is my voice and piano teacher(:
Life goes on-and it will because I have an extremely busy semester as is. It's been really great so far! I'm trying to have fun with everything, but stay motivated at the same time. Here's some pictures of some fun things I've done!

My friend Jessica had a birthday party on Saturday-she's the one-second one in on top of the couch above me(: This pic is me and 3 of my wonderful redhead friends! I just love having friends with red hair-they are the coolest!

We played "Catch A Phrase", which I kind of suck at(: Later that night, we also watched "Moulin Rouge"! Good movie!

Crystal, Me, Jess, Tessa-I hang out with them pretty much every day!

Last Friday, we had a NEON/GLOWSTICK Dance! It was so much fun! Me and my girls went all out and found 12 glowsticks for a buck at the dollar store! Yay! We danced the night away!

I've had some great times! Tuesdays and Thursdays continue to kill me, as I am in classes from 9-3 straight-which means I eat lunch during my 1:00 Institute class, or as I go from class to class I snack. Though I wake up a little grouchy on tuesdays especially since I also have to wear a dress for devotional, and knowing it will be a busy day, I am managing and doin my best! Life really is great. I recieved a blessing last week from a bishopric member to help me start off what is yet to be my all time busiest semester. I feel very much at peace, and I've changed my attitude around a little bit and am bound and determined to do well this semester. I'm going to leave EA with a bang!

Well-just thought I'd write a quick update! Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Lost in my Own Life

*Random thought of the Day: This picture is me. Or so it will be as this semester starts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Ok. The End.*
Um. Ok. Back in School. New Semester. Last Semester. New Roommates. The busiest semester ever-No I really mean it this time. New classes-mostly. New changes. New adjustments. The list could go on but has no reason to. So, I predicted and planned that I would be busy this semester. Problem is-it all hit me today, due to me always looking the the big picture first, just HOW busy I will be. Let me give you a rundown. And for those of you who have heard this rundown-forgive me. First of all, my music classes suddenly became more hardcore. Must be a last level thing. Not neccisarily the work, but the workload. By the end of the semester, I will have written an arrangement for theory, and theme and variations for piano, and prepared and conducted a part of a choir song for my Elements of Conducting class. Among that, I will have somehow managed to also keep with all the other assignments, quizzes, and tests in those classes. I will also have hopefully managed to get just enough practice time in for voice lessons. Oh and did I mention-I now have to take some time outside of class to practice for my piano class? I'm not yelling. Oh I'm also taking English Literature which just so happens to be my intensive writing course, so I'll be putting some focus and work into that. At least it's my last general! Not to also mention, I'm still auditioning for the spring musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" next week. I know I know what you all are thinking-I'm Extremely Crazy!! Don't judge me. Ok, so I really don't know how the play auditions will turn out. I may get a small part and decide its not worth my time-I really don't mean to sound selfish, but if i'm in this show, I want to be IN it. Nonetheless, whether I'm in it or not, I'll be busy. It's really going to be intesting. At least for now-I will have my BYU Idaho and Utah State audition DVDs sent of by about the end of next week so then all I have to worry about is getting into the music programs-mainly BYU because that's where I want to go the most. I also do need to prepare for my NAU audition which will hopefully be taking place in February-thats still up in the air too. So, here I go with a deep breath. My best friend Emily said that if I can see myself handling things and doing well and not stressing too much, then I can do it! "If you can conceive it, you can achieve it!" Thanks Ema(: That is all.

Ok, that's not all. I had an extremely AWESOME choir trip last weekend when I got back to Thatcher! We had the amazing opportunity to sing at the AMEA Convention.(Arizona Music Educators Association). First we had a public performance at a Mesa Stake Center on Fri, the 8th. Then we had sang in this amazing methodist church on Saturday morning! See pictures!
Me and the BEAUTIFUL Celeste!(:

Taylor and Dakota found matching shirts that said "FREE HUGS" and went around giving everyone in choir well, free hugs of course! What a couple of funnies(:

We fit like 8 people in Tiffany's car to go get frozen yogurt(: Here's Me, Shauna, Aaron and Mitch

Me and my wonderful roommies at the hotel! Shauna, Audra and Celeste

Oh and this last pic is not from my choir trip obviously-Dad and Anne came for a visit New Year's Weekend! I love them!
Well-I hope you all are having a wonderful week and the weekend is about to start! Yay! TTFN!
