Rescuing Kittens=PricelessMeet Bandit and Sysco. The story: Dad and Anne were horseback riding in Colorado this weekend. They were in the woods and someone pulled up near the bottom of the hill and abandoned SEVEN KITTENS in a box! Just left them to be devoured by the forest creatures. So, Dad and Anne, and some other people that were out there, each took a kitten or two home with them. We got 2 out of the deal:) And I'm really excited because I love kittens! This is my new entertainment haha! They are so adorable! Poor things are still scared to death but i'm sure they will get used to us! Story of the weekend! The End.*

I've been working a lot. Ugh. Haha-its so great because I'm making money. However-when put with 2 year olds-many of them-ones stress level can hit the sky. Like mine or something :p Oh how I would love to just not have kids, and adopt at age 3 or 4. hehe-KIDDING! To say the least, I'm learning.
I like Kmart. I especially like the fact that I work plenty of hours, and am constantly flirting with this guy I work with. I'm ridiculous-I know!
I'm glad I'm working alot because at the end of the month I get to take a few days off to go to Aspen Grove, Utah for a family reunion! Woot! I'm really glad the summer is going by fast-ish!

Well, life is going well. I am working two jobs. Not all at once always. But I'm working at the Daycare when they need me, and Kmart on m
ost nights. What tires me the most is when I do both in one day...but I'm handling it and I need the money! Unfortunantly, Kmart will schedule me on some Sundays, but sometimes you just do what you gotta do.I've been to the Single's branch and made a couple of friends. I go to branch/institute activities when I can. This weekend, I got to go on a little hike of sorts with some girls in the ward. We went to a place called "Bisti", out in the wilderness...literally.

Basically there were a bunch of cool rock formations/big rocks, and a lot of walking. And you all know me and rock climbing these days-I loved it! No, I was not in flip flops or barefoot this time:) It was pretty great though!These are 3 of the girls I went with. (Alyssa took the pic)This rock seriously looked like a duck! So i decided to ride it....It was all pretty sweet! And a good work out! Though, I was exhausted afterwards and had to go to work last night...ugh! Oh well! Such as life!

Last weekend, me, Dad and Anne drove an hour away to Ignacio, to see my cousins Brooke and Nathan and little Kayton, who were visiting some of Brooke's family. Me and Brooke-I love her! Kayton-what a stud!Everything else is pretty chill. I'm pretty sure the summer is going by fast which makes me happy! I'm super excited to go to BYU Idaho! I'm still trying to decide on a major...few ideas floating around in my head still...decisions decisions!

Hey Everyone! Decided to update again finally. I've managed to land two jobs here in Farmington! Two jobs that I definantly need! I'm a subsitute teacher at Kids Korner Daycare Center, but should get some good hours because they seem to really like me there so far and I LOVE it! 3 and 4 year olds are my favorite! So much fun! And I like to boss them around haha. And, I'm learning tons! I'm learning about kids and how they think and learn, and how to work with them and teach them. I may even consider majoring in early childhood education, depending on how the rest of the summer goes! My other job is at Kmart. Haha I know. Again?! Well, I happen to know how to be a cashier since I worked there for a year in hs, in Show Low. They basically hired me on the spot because of that reason. Of course, a few things are updated with the store, but I'm sure I'll be able to pick it all up again! I may even be able to work in a couple different departments, which i'm ok with because I like variety! So, money is coming oh happy day! I hit up the Single's Branch on Sunday, which is smaller than, well any ward i've EVER been in! Met a few people, and hopefully I break out of my comfort zone more soon. I also went to Institute last night and met more people, and enjoyed playing some ultimate frisbee! So maybe between my two jobs, I'll have somewhat of a social life eh? Plus plenty of family time here. I'm also trying to do some arrangement projects. Oh the ideas in my head! I'm glad to be staying busy. Life is pretty simple right now. I prefer no complications for as long as possible! Have a great week everyone!

Every End Has A Beggining!

The countdown is over. I got through finals and I have graduated from Eastern Arizona College, after 3 years of ups and downs and life itself. It's hard to believe, but it was exciting. I don't quite have a diploma...a minor setback I have to get taken care of...but I'll get it eventually. I managed to hold back the waterworks all this week, even when I had to say goodbye. But then they came out today, when while traveling to Show Low. I am really going to miss my friends SOOOO so much! And thatcher which I've truly called home in the last few years. I don't exactly react to change well, so I hope and pray to adjust to the next parts of my life. I could go on and on about the experiences and things i've learned while at EAC. I've had the greatest friends and examples and life changes while there. I had a lot of trials, but as I "grew up" and kept going, I've learned how to make it through them better. I'm SO greatful for the support I had from family and friends while there. I wouldn't have made it through without you. Thank you for helping me accomplish my goals and follow my dreams.

Now, I will be moving to Farmington New Mexico to live with Dad and Anne for the summer. I will find a job and work as much as possible. In September, I head to BYU Idaho! And, I'm changing majors. Yep-no longer will I be a music major. What I'm changing to? I don't know yet. I just know I'm changing from music. I have some time to think and pray about it. It's yet another change and I'm learning to not be in control so much:) Its just what I need to do. I've learned TONS being in the music program at EA though. I know how to arrange music, I've learned the basics of theory, and I have improved immensely with my voice, and will continue to take lessons at BYU is the plan. It's been good.

The Great Dr. Seuss once said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Ok, so the tears were almost uncontrollable this weekend. I had my final, and amazing, experience of taking part in the 30th Annual Spring Sing this weekend. It was AWESOME! All 3 performances were fantastic! I'm in a little bit of awe at the fact that it's already over and that I will never perform again in the Acapella choir at Eastern Arizona College. Thursday night, I cried at the end, but only a little. Friday, I didn't cry until I was talking to my mom about it after the show. And today, I cried through half of our final song, "Greatful", and when we circled the auditorium, with the alumni of the past 30 years joining us to sing "The Lord Bless You and Keep You"(Acapella choir sings this every Friday at 12:45), I barely sang at all, unable to control the tears, knowing that that was the last time I will sing in that auditorium, with the choir and Dr. Bishop. So I cried because it was over, but I will always have a smile on my face whenever I talk about, or even think of, the experiences I have had with EA's music department.

It's been great being able to spend time with friends during the concerts. Grandma Kay and a friend came Thurs and took me dinner before the show-it was awesome! I also enjoyed having my family here for Friday night's show. We also went to the Gila Valley Temple open house this morning. It is SOOOO beautiful! Very small temple, but I loved every part of it! I'm sad that I won't be able to be in Arizona when they do the dedication in a couple of weeks. Will be wonderful I'm sure. Here's some pics of this weekend and the temple and such! I won't ever forget this weekend. It's been incredible. I love all my friends and above all, I love the music we have shared together. It's helped me more than anything!

I can't believe how fast time is going. 13 Days til Graduation. 14 Until I move away. I'm nearly done with all my projects/english paper. Did I get any of it done today? No. Which means my Monday will be busy since I don't do homework on Sundays. Oh well. I had to play a little this weekend:) Anyway, I'm to the point that I will be starting to pack more, along with studying for finals, etc. I'm so ridiculously busy, I'll be glad when even finals week hits because then I just have to study and pack that week. I'm still in search of a job in Farmington. Have I had time to look anymore recently? No. I did get 5 applications in last weekend and have yet to make some phone calls. Happy day! Wish me luck!

18 days til graduation, now including weekends, and 19 days til I move away! That many days, and so far, 2 boxes packed. Basically, I got extremely sick of some of my clutter and decided to go threw and downsize/de-clutter and put some things in boxes. I AM EXTREMELY OCD about clutter. Which is going to be interesting since within the next couple of weeks, my room will seem to re-clutter itself as I pack and try to keep organized with my school work. Today, I got yet another thing done and over with! For the past couple of months, I have been planning a special program for my ward Sacrament Meeting and today it happened! There were 4 speakers and 4 musical numbers, all topic(d) around Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel. It went so great! I was so stressed about it-you all know me:) But everyone did awesome! I actually got to sing in a quartet for it as well. We sang an arrangement that I did, of Joseph Smith's First Prayer. That was one of the most stressful parts in preperation for this program, was getting that arrangement done, learned and performable, but I feel that it went well. The Spirit was really strong in the meeting today! I'm so greatful to those who participated in the program. The last couple of weeks have been the worst as far as being busy. Last Thursday, I was gone by 815 in the morning and except for a couple of 10 min stops at home during the day, I didn't get back home for good until 930 that night. Yeah-I'm THAT busy. I love it so much though because you wouldn't believe how fast time has gone by!

Tonight, I will be graduating from Institute! Some of us from the A capella choir will also be singing at that graduation. Should be great! This week is the 30th Annual Spring Sing! And my final choir performances with Eastern Arizona College. It's the final of everything. And I feel like, though ridiculosly busy, I'm finally starting to enjoy my final moments and final memories with friends here. Because it's all not going to last much longer. I'm searching constantly for more of my future, as I head into it. Wish me luck!

It's a beautiful day in....Thatcher! (HA! You thought I was going to say the neighborhood huh...in your face!)

Well, it is a beautiful day and there have been many beautiful days lately. If there's one thing I really like about Thatcher is the weather during the Spring. It's perfect and puts me in a better motivated mood believe it or not. It also lifts my flirting level up...but we don't have to talk about that:)

This week was really great. Mostly because I accomplished basically everything I wanted to. SHOCKING, I know. My biggest accomplishment was, finally finishing a real arrangement. In 2 weeks, my ward's sacrament meeting will be centered around Joseph Smith and the Restoration. I've been planning this special program for months. We will have 4 speakers speak on 4 different topics around the main topics and 4 special musical numbers. One of those numbers I will be part of because the song I arranged is a 4 part version of "Joseph Smith's First Prayer." So, me and 3 others will sing that as part of the program. I'm really excited about it and everything is coming together nicely.

It certainly is crunch time. Between, homework, practicing, concerts, recitals, english papers, planning my roommates bridal shower, etc etc etc, I really don't get home til between 330 and 5 everyday, leaving between 8 and 930 in the mornings. But I love that time is goin by so fast. 24 school days and 576 hours(more or less) until graduation. 3 weeks til I start packing. 5 weeks til finals. A few days til my recital. The list goes slightly on. Blah!

I had the opportunity twice to see EAC's musical on Thurs and Fri. Yes this was the one I tried out for in January-The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It was a really funny play and they did a great job with it!

Yesterday, I accomplished for the 3rd time-bread! 5 loaves this time in fact! I'm pretty sure that this skill I'm learning, will attract more boys at BYU-Idaho. I'm bound to find a husband that way. haha.

Well, I don't have nothin much to say. More is BOUND to happen this week or the next. Until then. TTFNNNNNN.......singing out. No pun intended.
